Pastor Glen Hanson
After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa, I was given the opportunities to be a Marketing Director, Business Partner, social worker and also work at both WHO Radio and IPTV ~ before I finally answered my call to go into ministry. Since that time I have been part of a new church start in Pleasant Hill, Iowa and have been given the challenge to plant a new church in the community of Bondurant, Iowa. If you would like to be a “Difference Maker” and be part of a vibrant, exciting new community of faith I personally invite you to join us as we journey with Jesus together!
Glen Hanson quick facts:
- Farm boy from Dayton, Iowa
- Married my high school sweetheart
- Blessed with (2) daughters and (1) son
- Owner of a 110 pound Burmese Mountain Dog
Influences on my walk with Christ:
- The greatest influences in my Christian life were my parents. They raised me in a Christian home where authentic living was the rule.
- Being part of a new church start from its first service, and being mentored by its Senior Pastor to go into ministry.
- Watching God change people’s lives. Nothing gives me more joy than watching someone really embrace Jesus and seeing their life transformed.
Life verse: Jesus replied “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the Kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:62)
Paige Chapman – Director of Children’s Ministry & Connections
Following high school, I graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at Marshalltown Community College. In 1989 we moved to Des Moines area; where I worked for Iowa Methodist Medical Center, in the Pediatric Specialties Clinic and the Education & Development Department. (1989-1998) After the birth of our third child I chose to be a stay-at-home mom, where I dabbled in several self-employment opportunities, before answering my call to ministry.
My faith journey started in the winter of 1993; at the age of 28, when I was expecting our second child. I accepted the invitation of a co-worker to attend a church in Pleasant Hill where we lived. The message from the Senior Pastor “stirred my heart” and connected with my own life experiences. Rarely attending church as a child, EVERYTHING felt intimidating and somewhat foreign to me. Even so, I felt drawn to this “new life” and filled with a great sense of purpose. I would go on to serve in volunteer positions at this church, and also on staff as the Director of Christian Education/VBS and Connections Coordinator form 1999-2007.
In May 2008 I graduated from the Iowa School for Lay Ministry. This three year course of study equips laity within the United Methodist Church to serve and lead within their home churches.
So you see, whether you’ve been a “church kid” all your life, or are embarking on your journey for the first time today, I want to welcome you to Cross Point. I pray you experience God’s amazing grace in this faith community, and discover His purpose & plan for your life.
A little bit about Paige:
- Grew up in Marshalltown, Iowa
- Married to Jeff on June 10, 1989
- Blessed with (2)sons and (1) daughter
- Enjoy riding our Harley with my husband, golfing and attending our children’s activities
Influences on my walk with Christ:
- Childhood friends and their families who invited me to join them at church, “planting the seed” for a life of faith to bloom & grow.
- Being mentored by two wonderful pastors, who encouraged, guided and helped me discover and develop my spiritual gifts; in order to serve God, His people…bringing Him glory.
- Witnessing God’s work in our daily lives. Even through life’s disappointments, trials, and struggles …being able to experience God’s presence and perfect timing in every situation.
Life Verse: I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on the completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:6)

Rochelle Remus – Nursery Director~ After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa with degrees in Biology and Chemistry I entered into the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Des Moines University. I am currently a second year student there. I am planning on going into pediatrics. I love kids and enjoy working with them.
My journey of faith started when I was in preschool and my mom and I started going to a new church. My faith has continued to grow over the years through Sunday school, confirmation, youth group and other opportunities through the church. Some of my best childhood memories are from those activities, church camp, and youth group mission trips. My faith hit a plateau when in college. I struggled being away from my church family that I had grown to love. My faith has grown more since starting medical school. I have made some wonderful friends who are very strong in their faith and have helped encourage me to have a deeper personal relationship with our Lord and Savior. The best thing about our God is that no matter how far we stray from him, he is always there finding ways to help us find our way back to him. “Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:39
I not only want the kids at Cross Point to have a fun place to come where they expend some of their energy, but I want them to learn about God as well. I try to incorporate this into the nursery through toys that have Bible verses on them, Bible story books and coloring books, as well as videos that have Christian messages in them.
David Cromer – David has been married to his lovely wife Terri Ann for 28 years . He has two children, Joshua David Cromer and Sarah Diane Justice. His son-in-law is Travis and grandaughter Bella. He is employed full time for Southeast Polk HS and works part time for Cross Point.
“Gods greatest gift besides Jesus is the musical ability He gave me. My gift back to Him is my song. Some people get to play great music , I play great music about Jesus. My songs tell His story. My Ministry is to the saved, My mission to the unsaved. To seek and to save the lost. To be about my Fathers business. God gives us all certain abilities and skills. Find out what yours is as soon as possible and begin doing that. My prayer for our church is that we fall in love with Jesus and that we all have an assurance of our salvation. May we continue to grow in faith and love together.”
